All public officials in the United states are elected by popular vote except two—the President and Vice President.
The National Popular Vote means that even they would be elected by a majority of all Americans—without regard to which state they live in.
A National Popular Vote would eliminate the “winner-take-all” practice prevalent in most states, which invalidates the popular votes of millions of Americans—sometimes the majority.
National Popular Vote legislation works within the framework of the Constitution, preserving the electoral system and guaranteeing the Presidency to the person whom the majority of Americans agree should lead our country.
